What we collect
When you use BalanceKeeper, you may enter an email address and the numbers that power your safe-to-spend figure: pay schedule, bills, savings contributions, checking balance, and a buffer.
When you are signed in, that planning data is stored on BalanceKeeper servers keyed to your email so your phone and computer stay in sync. A copy is also cached in your browser (localStorage) for fast loading offline. We do not connect to your bank and we never see your transactions.
What we never do
We never connect to your bank. We never see your transactions. We do not sell or share your data, and we do not show ads.
Analytics
No analytics or tracking scripts.
Cookies
BalanceKeeper uses a session cookie named bk_session so you stay signed in after a magic-link. We do not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Planning data is cached with localStorage on your device and, when signed in, stored on our servers tied to your email.
Deleting your data
Use Settings → Start over to erase what BalanceKeeper stored on this device. When you are signed in, Start over also deletes the server copy for your account. You can also clear this site's data in your browser settings to remove the local cache.
Children
BalanceKeeper is not intended for anyone under 13.
